As a long time Pivot rider since the beginning we have loved the brand, the DW link suspension and all the bits and pieces that Chris Cocalis hangs on his bikes, but our pocket book can't keep up with all new variations that the Tempe Arizona builder keeps coming up with so we'll just have to share the new goodness the company produces via our our web site.

The first Cross country race of the season in the US kicked off in the usual fashion in Arizona during the first round of the MBAA race schedule. Nearly 900 racers showed up to compete in the annual season kickoff that happens a the McDowell Mountain Park in Fountain Hills.

FAT bikes are popping up all over and with their ability to ride any terrain, they are probably a blast to ride. Since I havent ridden one yet for a test, I will simply pass on the positive feedback we get from those early adopters.

For the last couple of years, we have seeen little video bits popping up on the Interweb of Bernard Kerr whipping jumps at Whistler, or blowing up berms in his home country of England. But nothing of much length.

Easily the best event of the Otter because of its centralized location and fan friendly format, Dual slalom is non-stop with heats firing out of the gate every minute or so until the final rounds when it takes a bit more time to get back up the hill. This years win by Kyle Strait is the first American to win the race in something like 8-10 years and appreciated by the ruckus, flag waving crowd.

The 2011 Sea Otter Classic is behind us and for this edition we had but one team member waiving the flag for the Bicycle World race team. Keith Wilson attacked the Clydesdale's on Sunday morning after preriding the course with yours truly on Friday.
