Motivation Beyond Compare - The Joy of the Bicycle

Trials rider Martyn Ashton is back on the bike, bigger and better than ever in new video.

Seems to me that most every video these days gets lost in the muddle of pushing product. Not showing the real enjoyment in the ride. So when I saw the joy in Martyn Ashtons face as he got back up on the very same thing that took his legs from him, it was priceless.

I don't really know what the video was created for, but the highlight was the smile on Martyn's face as he rolled. Maybe not as big or over the top as before, but he didn't care. He was rolling, moving under his own power. And Martyn found the joy in that very same self propelled movement that attracts us all to the sport. Self propelled freedom.

Martyn is back, he is free and it is great to see. A real inspiration to us all. To not forget the joy.
