2011 Claymore Challenge Video

2011 Claymore Challenge saw a three peat take place with Brandon Semenuk dishing out another win. While Brendon is the guy to beat on almost any given day with his absolutely smooth style and near flawless execution on his tricks, I am not 100% convinced he beat second place Yannick Granieri. As one blogger said,

"For sure Yannick should have won. Semenuk dropped a foot half way through his run. I think his name is getting him better results than his riding."

Well for this event I totally agree. But it wasn't a total rip-off. Granieri was flawless and Semenuk slipped a pedal on one occassion- otherwise it was damned near a tie. But with close competitions there will be debate and this one will rage on until the next event - which is the BIG ONE - Crankworx BC in Whistler..

Oh yeah, a big congrats to Kyle Strait who came back to take a solid third place run on his Pivot M4X.

In the meantime, check out this super sick video shot with the Phantom Flex High Speed Camera - the slom motion footage is unreal. You can go out and buy one if you want, but like helmet cam footage, it will get old real quick. But this is worth the watch...

Claymore Challenge 2011 Final Results

1) Brendan Semenuk
2) Yannik Granieri
3) Kyle Strait
